RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
For the Unbaptized Person (for those over the age of 7)...
The rite of Christian initiation...is designed for adults who, are hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God's help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fruitfully.
For the Baptized, Uncatechized Person (for those over the age of 7)...
This refers to those "adults who were baptized as infants as Roman Catholics or as members of another Christian Community but did not receive further catechetical formation nor, consequently, the sacraments of confirmation and Eucharist."
For the Baptized, Non-Catholic Person (for those over the age of 7)... "[The] doctrinal and spiritual preparation [of those who have already been baptized in another Church or ecclesial community]...should be determined according to the individual case.
